A Family Shattered by Secrets…
Now in the Crosshairs
At fourteen, Jenna Bergstrom’s perfect family started to unravel—a few years later it tragically fell apart.
As an artist, Jenna’s learned to channel her emotions, but that control is put to the test when her ailing grandfather asks her to help restore the family’s legendary artists’ retreat known as Sinner’s Grove. Reluctantly she agrees to step in, but there’s a problem…
She’ll have to work side-by-side with the ex-love of her life.
Brit Maguire knows heartbreak. Jenna was the girl of his dreams until she disappeared from his life completely. Now she’s back, and the feelings he’s pushed aside just won’t stay put. But as the architect for the Sinner’s Grove renovation, he’s got more important things on his mind – like finding out who wants the project scrapped badly enough to kill for it. Finding his way back to Jenna won’t count for anything if Brit can’t keep her safe.
Sinner’s Grove is Book One of A.B. Michaels’ contemporary suspense series, “Sinner’s Grove Suspense.” It follows the descendants of characters featured in Michaels’ historical fiction series “The Golden City.” Other titles in “Sinner’s Grove suspense” include The Lair and The Jade Hunters.
The Art of Love, the award-winning first novel in “The Golden City” series recounts the founding of Sinner’s Grove by Klondike King August Wolff and artist Amelia Starling at the turn of the twentieth century. Other titles in that series include The Depth of Beauty, The Promise, The Price of Compassion, Josephine’s Daughter, and The Madness of Mrs. Whittaker.
All titles are stand-alone reads or can be read as part of a series (check out my Book Bundles).
A Note from A.B. Michaels:
“The idea for Sinner’s Grove started more than ten years ago while I was living in San Anselmo, a little town north of San Francisco in Marin County, California. If you drive due west from there, you’ll come to the Point Reyes National Seashore. The land in between is gorgeous, with a series of little towns giving way to dairy farms which then morph into hills and trees and coastline. My sister-in-law and I would poke around the area and wonder aloud what it would be like to live there, a world apart from the crazy energy of the greater San Francisco Bay Area. We brainstormed and came up with a fictional bayside community called Little Eden. And you know where there’s Eden, there’s got to be some sin…and the idea of Sinner’s Grove was born.”
What Readers are Saying:
“Fabulous! Wonderful story, wonderful book. Devoured it in 36 hours.” D. Anderson (Goodreads Review)
“I thought this was her best book yet. It was believable, well written and hard to put down.” – J. Watson (Amazon Review)
“A.B. Michaels Hit a home run with this one. She went in a whole different direction with this one. the knowledge of human trafficking and the brutality of those doing this is really brought out in this story. Although while telling this story she still manages to include the kind of love story we have come to expect from her. Absolutely her best work to date.” – D. Hall (Goodreads Review)
“I loved the complexed nature of this story. While it is a standalone novel, it’s interconnectivity to the five other books of the Golden Series. What I truly loved was the depth of the characters. On to book 2 of the Singer’s Grove Series.” – EvilAntiJan (Amazon Review)
